Mercury GSE Success Story: Ensuring Smooth Operations for Alaska Airlines at LAX During the Holiday Rush

Mercury GSE swiftly resolved challenges with Alaska Airlines B650 Pushback units at LAX, thanks to quick actions and effective communication with Mercury's support team.

In the midst of the busy holiday season, our valued customer, Alaska Airlines, encountered a potential setback with their JBT B650 Pushback unit at LAX. When the unit was on the verge of going down, quick thinking and proactive measures came into play. With outreach to their dedicated point of contact at Mercury support, we swiftly addressed the situation. Within just one day of the Request for Action, a replacement B650 was on-site, effectively preventing any disruptions during the peak of the busy season.

Fast forward to New Year's Day, and the B650 encountered another challenge with a broken windshield. Once again, leveraging the streamlined communication with Mercury's support team, we were able to act promptly. By 6am the following morning, a glass company was secured to address the issue. Remarkably, the B650 boasted a brand-new window by 4pm the next day, ensuring a seamless operation post-New Year's festivities.

"Mercury GSE has been an outstanding resource for fulfilling our Ground Support Equipment (GSE) requirements. They have provided rentals to help us overcome the ongoing long lead times from the manufacturers and for new launches. Additionally, Mercury has assisted us in diagnosing Out Of Service (OOS) equipment and identifying and provided the parts needed. During the holiday peak season, they were always available to answer our phone calls and provide the necessary support. Their team of TDY technicians is quickly dispatched to our sites and provides prompt service with quick turnaround times. Working with a vendor with a sense of urgency and providing many GSE services under one umbrella has been a pleasure. We appreciate all the support provided by Mercury GSE."

- Mehdi Jnah Director of GSE, Alaska Airlines
