Operational Excellence with Skydweller

Mercury GSE played a pivotal role in the unloading of the disassembled Skydweller Aero - a solar-powered aircraft. The disassembled Skydweller Aero, celebrated for its ground-breaking solar powered perpetual motion technology, landed at Stennis International Airport on Saturday, 13 January, for further assembly and testing.

Employing three JBT 30i cargo loaders, the equipment was used to unload the solar-powered aircraft, which arrived from Spain at Stennis International Airport in Kiln, Mississippi on a Cargolux Boeing 747 Freighter. The disassembled Skydweller Aero, celebrated for its ground-breaking solar powered perpetual motion technology, landed at Stennis International Airport on Saturday, 13 January, for further assembly and testing.

This morning, Mercury GSE was honored to take part in Delta Air Lines’ annual Jet Drag at Delta TechOps Hangar 10 in Atlanta—joining forces as part of the GSE industry’s Batt Bunnies team to help raise critical funds for the American Cancer Society. For those unfamiliar, Jet Drag brings together teams of 25 to pull a 255,000-pound Boeing 757 in a tug-of-war style challenge—all for a cause far bigger than competition.
